With over 50 facilities in the U.S. that deliver brand-named baked goods, the company had set out to be the first in its industry vertical to fully power its U.S. operations with renewable energy. The Virtual Power Purchase Agreement signed with Invenergy matches energy consumption from the food leader’s U.S. operations with wind energy production from a wind farm in Texas. The Texas wind farm was developed, engineered, financed and built by Invenergy and delivers annual CO2 emission reductions of 260,000 tons as well as social and economic benefits to the local community.

Invenergy has worked with more than 15 large corporate energy users to meet operational and sustainability goals with offsite renewable energy projects.
